Island bound with Ksenija Selivanova.

London-based digital creator and business founder, Ksenija Selivanova (@the_moments), shares the highlights from her idyllic island escape to Crete. Nestled in the Aegean Sea, the Greek island of Crete is the perfect place to unwind. We spoke to Ksenija about all things rest, recharge, and travel.

On choosing Greece...
We were craving some sunshine and salt water. The food and people though are what always pull me back to Greece. Unmatched hospitality, local produce, and mesmerising blue waters.

On taking time to reset...
We managed to finally have a relaxing, not leaving the sun lounger type of holiday. After a very busy start to the year, we craved some much-needed time off where the biggest decision of the day was what to have for lunch.

On holiday rituals...
I always try to meditate on the plane, it helps ground me and let go of the stresses of city life. I also carry a tub of With Hour Cream with me everywhere and apply it on my cuticles and lips on the plane. Another skincare tip is SPF on the plane. Your skin is much more exposed with sun damage because of harmful UV rays that can penetrate easier at that altitude.

On recommendations...
Allow yourself time to rest and enjoy the Aegean Sea. I truly believe sea water is healing and can be such a wonderful reset. Also make sure to wander into little villages and towns as they are just picture perfect with pink flowers crawling up the buildings everywhere.

On travelling in Varley...

80% of my suitcase was Varley and I was prepared for everything. Sea, hikes, morning yoga, the spa, a day by the pool, and dinner. I love how transitional Varley pieces are. You can wear the light knits with a pair of shorts in the daytime and change into a linen trouser and a sandal in the evening and you fit right in.

"The Market tote was hands down the most used item on the holiday. I had it with me day and night."
